Meadowbank Matters

At Meadowbank we are proud to have a community approach – where our families, the school and the wider community work together to support our children and each other.

Our newly established parent group ‘Meadowbank Matters’ is a welcoming safe space for parents, carers and family members to connect, share experiences, offer advice and support one another.

Meadowbank Matters aims to:

  • Foster inclusive peer support to all our families by demonstrating understanding and compassion

  • Provide a friendly, welcoming space to chat and decompress without judgement

  • Build a community of support and friendship that values everyone’s voice

  • Strengthen relationships between home and school

  • Offer opportunities to learn new skills and get involved in school life

All of our parents and carers automatically become members of Meadowbank Matters as soon as their child joins the school and they are welcome to join in with any of our activities.

Meadowbank Matters parent group currently meets weekly and is a fantastic way to bring people together, build friendships and create a school where everyone feels that they belong.  Over time, we hope to extend our range of activities on offer to parents and carers and begin to organise fundraising opportunities throughout the school year.

To ensure Meadowbank Matters remains a safe, supporting and happy space for everyone, we respectfully request that:

  • We speak to each other with respect and care — even when we disagree.

  • We welcome all parents and carers, no matter their background or parenting style.

  • We respect each other’s privacy. What’s shared in the group stays in the group.

  • We share advice and experiences to help, not judge.
