Comic Relief ~ Red Nose Day
We joined in with Red Nose Day on Friday 24 March. Staff and children wore red clothes to school and took part in a sponsored activity, 'Squat on the Spot', in the afternoon. The children had to see how many squats they were able to do in one minute. Everyone did 50 squats!
In the morning the children visited the new Gabalfa Hub where they all received their new library card. Jennie read stories to all of the children and gave then cakes with red noses on.
Two-Time Paralympian Visits Meadowbank School
The children at Meadowbank were excited to meet former pupil and two-time paralympian Stephen Morris. Stephen spoke with the children about his experience representing Great Britain in the 1500 metre event at the recent Rio Paralympic Games. Stephen answered the children's many questions and shared photos of his time in Rio de Janeiro. This was a fantastic opportunity for the children to gain inspiration and encouragement from Stephen's success.
St David's Day 2017
We had lots of fun on St David's Day. We had a story in Welsh, learnt some Welsh dances and had Welsh cakes and hot chocolate.
Children in Need: November 2016
For Children in Need we had a pyjama day and all children and staff wore their pyjamas to school. We also did a sponsored bike ride and everyone did 10 laps of the school playground.
